Privacy Policy

MonkeMocap is run by NachoEngine ("we", "us"). This policy explains what data the MonkeMocap website, member portal (account.monkemocap.com) and mod licensing service collect, why, and your choices. Reading this website and using MonkeMocap Lite (the free version) involves no account and sends us nothing.

What we collect

Only if you log in with Patreon or activate a paid license:

• Patreon account data: your Patreon user ID, email address, and your membership status, tier and next charge date. We receive this from Patreon when you log in and through Patreon's webhooks. We never see your payment details.
• Discord (optional): if you choose to link Discord, your Discord user ID and username. We use the identify permission only.
• License data: your license key (stored as a hash and in encrypted form), and for each device that uses it a one-way hash of a hardware identifier, the date it was first and last seen, and the mod version. The hash cannot be turned back into your hardware details.
• Session cookie: a single cookie that keeps you logged in on the member portal. It is strictly necessary, so we do not show a cookie banner. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies.
• Server logs: our hosting and network providers (Render and Cloudflare) process IP addresses and request details to deliver the service and protect it from abuse. We use IP addresses to rate-limit requests and do not store them in our database.

Why we use it

• To confirm your membership and issue a license key.
• To enforce the device limit and keep the licensing service secure.
• To fix problems and support you.

We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.

Who else handles it

• Patreon (login and payments), Discord (optional linking), Render (hosting and database) and Cloudflare (network and security). Each has its own privacy policy.
• Links on this site to Patreon, Discord, YouTube and TikTok take you to those services, which collect data under their own policies. We do not embed their trackers on this site.

Our servers may be located outside your country, including in the United States.

How long we keep it

We keep your account and license data while you have a membership or license with us. After you leave we may keep it so that your key works again if you rejoin. You can ask us to delete it at any time (below).

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to show you the data we hold, correct it, or delete your account, license and device records. You can unlink Discord yourself from your account page. Depending on where you live (for example the EU, UK or California) you may have additional legal rights, and we will honor them. To make a request, message NachoEngine on Patreon. We may need to confirm you own the account first. If you are unhappy with our response you can contact your local data protection authority.

Children

Gorilla Tag has many young players. The member portal requires a Patreon account, and Patreon sets its own minimum age. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13 and will delete it if we learn we have. Parents can contact us with a request.

Security

Connections use HTTPS, license keys are stored hashed and encrypted, and access to our systems is restricted. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date above. Material changes will be announced on Discord.
